About Us
Mission
Promote regulatory compliance to ensure the protection of the rights, welfare, and safety of research subjects and University personnel through implementation of a Quality Management Plan.
Purpose
- Conduct audits with the goal of process improvement and education
- Not-for-cause audits can be requested by the study team for process review or in preparation for a possible outside audit
- Develop institutional standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the conduct of clinical research or other human subjects research
- Conduct quality initiation meetings at study start-up to ensure processes are in place for compliant research at study initiation
- Provide education and training to the clinical research community
- Consult with study teams to assist with quality protocol development
- Support the Lombardi Cancer Center Data and Safety Monitoring Committee
