Other Support Process Information

Medical Center’s NIH Other Support Process

Research Development Services (RDS) will initiate the NIH Other Support process as follows:

  1. RDS will prepare a draft Other Support document for the PI and each investigator listed as key personnel.
  2. RDS will route the Other Support document through DocuSign to each investigator for certification and signature.  The Other Support document will be accompanied by a cover sheet with a list of questions to guide the investigator in identifying which research related resources must be disclosed as Other Support.  If the answer to any question is “yes,” the Other Support document must be updated to reflect the relevant information. Investigators should be advised that by signing this Other Support document, they are certifying that the information is complete and true and correct to the best of their knowledge.
  3. If the PI or other key personnel have entered into an agreement with a foreign organization, he or she must submit the agreement, in English, to RDS for submission to NIH with the signed Other Support.  A machine-readable translation is sufficient.
