Please follow these instructions for installing the Georgetown
University Institutional Review Board and MedStar Research
Institute-Georgetown University Oncology Institutional Review Board
meeting dates electronic calendar(s):
For Thunderbird –
1.Download the desired IRB committee’s meeting dates
calendar to your desktop
2.Open thunderbird.exe
3.Left-click the calendar tab located in the bottom left hand
corner of the menu bar
4.From the calendar page, go to the menu bar and left click on
file and select open calendar file
5.Select the calendar you downloaded to your desktop and choose
open
For Outlook –
1.Download the desired IRB committee’s meeting dates
calendar to your desktop
2.Open outlook.exe
3.Left-click the calendar tab located in the bottom left hand
corner of the menu bar
4.From the calendar page, go the menu bar and left click on file
and select open calendar
5.Select the calendar you downloaded to your desktop and choose
open
Note about electronic calendars:
Before installation, please make sure you have an email client
with an iCal compatible calendar. If you are using Outlook, you
should be fine; however, if you are using Thunderbird we recommend
Lighting for this purpose. Lighting can be download by clicking here
Once
you’ve downloaded Lighting, please follow the steps provided on
the installation website by Mozilla for the installation
procedure.
